Mum jailed for hiding her kids from their dad for more than two years

Sandra Grazzini-Rucki has chosen to serve up to 233 days in jail for hiding her two teenage daughters from their father for more than two years. After being found guilty in July of six counts of felony deprivation of parental rights, the Minnesota mum was sentenced on Wednesday to six years’ probation and annual stints of 15 days in jail until 2022 – to be served on the anniversary that her daughters were found. However, she opted to be incarcerated in lieu of probation, or any monitoring, therefore she is likely to be released on good behaviour after five months. This sentencing worries her ex-husband, David Rucki, the Star Tribune reported.”In my mind, you want a level of accountability to be held on top of her,” he said. “I fear she’ll see this as a victory for her.
