Dipper Bonaventure Kivuyo born 1st January 1994, better known as “Dipper Rato” is a Tanzanian HipHop & Ragga Dancehall Singer, Film actress, Fashion Stylist & entrepreneur. She is proudly of the Maasai Tribe, Among her various nicknames, she is reffered to as “Chugamaican Queen”,”RatoKing ”,”CFO of RATONATION”. Dipper Rato been recognized as one of the industrys most Stylish, influential, prolific and skilled HipHop and Dancehall performer in East Africa.
Background:
Dipper Bonaventure Kivuyo being the third of six children of Mr & Mrs Bonaventure Adiel Kivuyo, attended O’lchoki primary school in the year 2000 where she showed early interest in music by participating in the Sunday school choir, in 2007 She joined Kiranyi Secondary school on completion of her primary school studies where she then undertook Ordinary Level Studies and graduated in 2010. Dipper later joined Tropical Tourism Institute and completed studies in 2012.
During and after school Dipper was featured and starred in a number of Arusha Movies including “99 Men”, “Soldier Killer”, “Msitu wa Mauti” and “Free Huslte” while at the same time her rap skills brought light to the Hip Hop scene through street Rap Open stage by the name “SUA” which launched her music career.
Dipper joined Vatoloco soldiers in 2012 and was crowned the first lady rapper of the popular rap group, in 2014 she then went on to form her own Rap & Enterpreneuship brand “RATO NATION” which she is currently heading.
